THE MESSENGER: THE STORY OF JOAN OF ARC is a historical drama from 1999, based on fact, in which a young girl's vision drives her to rid France of its oppressors.

Violence

In one sequence, a woman is burned alive at the stake, and there is brief sight of her body burning.

There are also bloody images, as well as scenes of injury detail.

Sexual violence
