THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB is a romantic drama about six people, who form a Jane Austen book club in Sacramento, California.

Language

There is one use of strong language (‘f**king’) when a character makes a reference to another character’s sexual relationships.

Sex

There are brief sex scenes such as characters kissing and removing their clothes but there is no detail or nudity. There are also brief verbal references to sex.

There are two scenes in which a character might be smoking marijuana, but the references are brief, unclear and in one case disapproved of. One character recounts a story of a “special needs kid” who showed her his penis when they were at school. Later there is a reference to a “penis waving retarded boy”.
