THE FURIES is an Australian sci-fi horror film in which a young woman is kidnapped by a group of murderers who hunt women for sport.

Violence

Strong gory violence includes a prolonged sequence in which a man cuts off a woman's face with the blade of an axe. A woman's throat is cut, resulting in close up detail of blood gushing from the wound. Another woman's head is split in two with an axe.

Injury detail

Further gory detail includes sight of exposed bloody intestines and a sequence in which a corpse's eyeball is scooped out with a spoon.

Threat and horror

Scenes of strong, sustained threat show terrified women being hunted and attacked by masked killers.

There is use of strong language ('f**k').
