THE FANATIC is a US crime thriller in which an obsessed fan stalks a movie star.

Violence

A man shoots off another man's fingers with a shotgun and stabs him in the eye, resulting in strong bloody injury detail. A man shoves a woman during a confrontation, causing her to fatally strike her head and resulting in close-up aftermath images of blood on her face.

One man invades another’s home, ties him up and terrorises him by pretending to stab him and douse him with petrol. There is use of strong language (‘f**k’); milder terms include ‘pussy’, ‘bitch’, ‘bullshit’, ‘celebutard’, 'ass’ and ‘shit’, as well as use of the rude ‘middle finger' gesture. A street performer sticks a nail through his nose, spilling blood over his face. There are occasional scenes of ableist bullying.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
