THE CABIN IN THE WOODS is a US comedy horror film in which a group of college students visit a remote cabin where they find themselves beset by horrors.

Violence

There are frequent scenes of strong bloody violence, including sight of stabbings in the torso and neck, an impaling and an implied beheading, all of which are accompanied by large blood splashes. Other scenes show monsters attacking humans in a variety of ways, resulting in sight of blood and gore.

Language

There is occasional use of strong language ('f**k').

Drugs

There are occasional scenes of marijuana misuse.

Other issues include a brief suicide scene featuring bloody detail. There is also a brief sex scene featuring breast nudity and implied oral sex.
