THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS is a drama about an eight year old German boy who moves to a house next to a concentration camp when his father is made Commandant there.

Threat

There is threat when a young character gets into the concentration camp thinking he can help out a friend he has made friends though the wire. This puts him in a position of extreme vulnerability. There is not a reassuring outcome.

There are images of concentration camp victims being corralled into a gas chamber.
