THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG is an animation film about a poor waitress in 1920s New Orleans who dreams of owning a restaurant, but who is transformed into a frog after she meets a man who has also been turned into a frog.

Threat

There are some mild scary scenes, most of which feature a villain who practices voodoo, and an army of shadow creatures who occasionally briefly threaten people. There are also scenes in which dolls come to life, a villain is despatched by colourful ghouls, a poacher flings knives into a tree whilst chasing the heroine, and alligators briefly threaten the heroes. Voodoo is presented as colourful magic, and these scenes are brief and generally counterbalanced by comic scenes showing the heroism, loyalty and friendship of the positively presented characters, with outcome being reassuring.

There is also infrequent very mild language ('butt').
