Discrimination

The main characters express their dislike and distrust of 'pikeys' and 'gyppos', who are depicted in a negatively stereotypical manner. There is also stereotyping of Jews. There are uses of 'faggot'. The film itself does not endorse discrimination.

Language

There is infrequent use of very strong language ('c**t') and more frequent strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'), as well as other terms such as 'pussy' and 'Jesus'.

Nudity

There is sexualised breast nudity.

Violence

There are regular scenes of bare-knuckle boxing, as well as other violence involving baseball bats, blades and guns, sometimes with resulting bloody detail. A gangster punishes another by hammering a nail into his chest, although infliction is off-screen.

Suicide

There is a scene of suicide by gunshot.

Threat, drug references and sex references are moderate. There are scenes of hare coursing, as well as the aftermath of a dog fight.
