SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK is a US drama in which a former teacher with bipolar disorder befriends a woman dealing with depression, and agrees to help her compete in a dance competition.
- Language
There is strong language ('f**k', 'cocks**ker') and milder terms including 'asshole', 'dicks', 'shit', 'slut' and 'whore'.
- Violence
During a flashback sequence an adulterous couple are attacked as they shower together. A little blood is seen on white ceramic wall tiles as the man is choked with the hose of a shower attachment that has been wrapped around his neck.
There are occasional verbal sex references, such as a woman noting her promiscuity, and undetailed references to drug misuse. In one scene some football fans insult Asian fans, but the work as a whole does not condone racist language or behaviour.
