sexual violence and sexual threat
A student falls in love with her teacher and threatens to accuse him of ‘molesting’ her unless he considers her proposal of marriage; the teacher declines her advances but she does not act on her threat. In another scene a woman threatens to “thrash” her male friends if they try to “take advantage” of her.
There is infrequent use of mild bad language (‘shit’). There are mild comic drug references when a man warns his friend that he saw a woman “sniff something white”, but it quickly becomes apparent that this is a misunderstanding and that the white substance was salt for a tequila shot. There are mild upsetting scenes of bereavement, including scenes involving the death of a woman from complications during childbirth. A man asks his female friend to cover her shoulders because the sight of them is ‘tempting’ to men, but he apologises for his behaviour after she responds with anger. Other issues include a brief comic suicide reference.
