MEN IN BLACK 3 is the third in the series of science fiction comedy action films about intergalactic secret agents working with aliens to keep the universe safe. In this instalment, Agent J travels back to 1969 to prevent the murder of the young Agent K by a vengeful alien.

Language

There is use of mild bad language, including uses of 'Jesus', 'hell', 'damn', 'morons', 'freaking', 'fricking', 'screw off', 'ass', 'shit', 'balls', 'pissed off' and 'bastard'. There is a reference to 'pimp-slapping' but with no sexual connotations.

Sex

Mild innuendo includes a reference to a race of aliens called the 'Viagrans' who have developed a 'revolutionary new pill'. However, there is no explanation of what is meant by this.

Violence

There are several fantastical action sequences, including fights and chases involving alien and human characters. The violence is fast-paced and cartoonish in style, with the main alien villain using darts shot from the legs of a spider-like creature to stop his opponents.

There is an instance of innocuous wordplay on drug misuse and a scene in which discriminatory behaviour on the basis of race is displayed. However, this is firmly challenged and discrimination is not endorsed.
