KILLING THEM SOFTLY is a thriller in which a gangland enforcer hunts down some men who are responsible for holding up a mob-run card game.

Violence

One scene shows a man on the receiving end of a sustained and brutal beating. His nose and mouth bleed heavily as he is repeatedly punched and he vomits up blood as he is hit in the belly. The man subsequently passes out after a kick to his face, after which further blows are delivered to his prone body. There is some dwelling on the infliction of pain and injury in this scene, with a focus on the sadistic pleasure of those who are perpetrating the violence. Elsewhere in the film, there are some bloody shootings, including sight of a man being shot in the head.

There is frequent strong language throughout, crude verbal sex references, and sight of heroin use.
