- threat and horror
There are regular scenes of threat, in which people traverse perilous terrain, fear unseen creatures, and are threatened by aliens inside robotic suits. However, the stronger moments of threat are brief, and there is often focus on the bravery and resourcefulness of the heroes.
- violence
Two men are punched, but there is no sight of injury and the intention of the violence is not to seriously hurt the victim. There are also scenes of fantasy violence, in which people are blasted by a toxic gas, and robotic suits explode when they are hit by the gas. In one sequence, a man is briefly believed to have sacrificed himself by cutting free from a rope while hanging in a ravine, but it is quickly revealed he has landed unharmed on a ledge below.
- flashing/flicking lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
There are repeated references to a 'drug' which will cure radiation sickness, although this is a fictional substance. In one scene, a man tries to hide his fear of climbing a mountainside by suggesting he is just being mindful of his female companion.
