What coronavirus means for the industry

The BBFC is continuing to adapt its contingency plans in line with the developing situation around coronavirus COVID-19. Following Government advice to businesses, our premises are currently closed, but we’re still working. 

We’re doing everything we can to keep things moving and we’re prepared to accept your content and view it in any secure digital delivery format that can be supplied to us remotely.

Theatrical submissions

We continue to accept both files and streaming links for theatrical content, as well as DCP that we view in our in-house theatre. Certain content will need to be seen in theatre rather than by file/link.

Home entertainment submissions

With the launch of Horizon we continue to be able to accept home entertainment content submitted to us via our secure system, however, if you need to submit physical home entertainment packaged media (DVD/Blu-ray) please get in touch with the team. Delivering content via Horizon is the best way to submit to us, and we will eventually stop accepting direct downloads. 

The content must still be the final version you will release.
