The BBFC is independent and not-for-profit, and we’re here to help everyone in the UK choose age-appropriate films, videos and websites, wherever and however they watch or use them.
The successful candidate will support the Director, Marketing and Outreach in the on-going development of the media and PR strategy for the BBFC. Including; managing high profile media activity; briefing the CEO and preparing key messaging documents; handling press and publicity; managing social media; coordinating internal communications; and supporting the BBFC's wider policy and education work.
Candidates must have a demonstrable track record of leading the delivery of high profile campaigns and an evolving communications strategy in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be proactive and strategic - a leader and do-er, have outstanding copywriting skills, strong digital communication experience and a solid network of media contacts. They will have line management responsibility for the Communications and Outreach Officer, have oversight of a broad range of channels, including; press and media; publications; resources; social media, education and policy work.
They will have excellent organisational and time management skills. The ability to project manage and multitask are essential.
