JAANE TU … YA JAANE NA is a musical comedy romance about a young man and woman who have always been friends and try to find each other a suitable spouse, only to discover that they actually love one another. It was passed ‘12A’ for moderate language and violence.

The BBFC’s Guidelines at ‘12A’ state that ‘violence must not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood’. The violence in this film is restricted to a brief scene in which two men punch one another and the sight of injuries (a bloody lip) is brief.

Language in this film is moderate, but is better contained at ‘12A’ rather than ‘PG’ because of tone and context, with directed examples such as the phrases, ‘son of a bitch’ and ‘screw you’.
