ZOO is an Irish drama in which a boy and his friends attempt to rescue an elephant during the German air raid bombings in Belfast in 1941.

Language

There is use of mild bad language ('bloody', 'shit', 'shite', 'piss'), as well as very mild terms including 'damn', 'turd', 'Jesus' and 'God'.

Threat

Mild threat include scenes which show the German bombing raids in Belfast. This includes sight of people ducking and running to air raid shelters as bombs go off.

There is brief bloody detail in a scene that shows three friends marking their initials on a tree with blood after they take a 'blood oath'.
