Note: The following text may contain spoilers

WE JOINED THE NAVY is a 1962 comedy about a group of Royal Navy officers who cause chaos when they are seconded to a US ship docked in a Mediterranean port.

Language

There is mild bad language when a character refers to ‘Rum, bum and bashing’, and also uses of ‘damn’.

Sex

There is a comically suggestive song-and-dance burlesque sequence, in which the dancers remove items of clothing, but only down to costume underwear. The routine also includes a reference to a ‘strip joint’ in the lyrics of the song.

There are also brief moments of comic violence and threat.
