THE WAY BACK is a drama based on the true story of three prisoners who escaped a Siberian gulag in 1940 and made the epic and dangerous 4000 mile journey across the Himalayas to India.

Language

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k').

Violence

Infrequent moderate violence includes an implied stabbing with subsequent sight of blood on a man's hand after touching the victim's clothing. There is also occasional injury detail resulting from the hardships of the journey, such as blisters and cuts.

Wolves are shown tearing into a bloody animal carcass and there is sight of animals apparently having been killed for food, although none of these kills occur on screen.

Sex

Infrequent visual sex references include two drawings of a naked woman, one of which shows a woman

positioned on all fours, the sight of which prompts one man to make a sexual hand gesture.
