VICTORIA AND ABDUL is a British historical drama following Queen Victoria's relationship with an Indian man who joins her household staff.

Language

In one scene a man appears to use strong language ('f**k') although the sound of the language is dipped and the word not fully uttered. There is also use of milder terms such as 'arsehole', 'shit', 'dick', 'God' and 'Jesus Christ'.

A childless character is examined for sexually transmitted infections. There are incidents of historical racist behaviour, occasionally accompanied by physical aggression. The word 'wog' is used by an Indian man reflecting on how he perceives society's attitudes to his compatriots.
