THE UNSEEN is a psychological drama in which a couple accept a man's invitation to stay with him in the Lake District after the death of their son.

Language

There is use of strong language ('f**k'), as well as milder terms such as 'bugger' and 'Jesus'.

Threat

A woman suffering from panic attacks is assaulted by a man who manipulates her condition; the threat includes 'jump scares'. There is a growing sexual element to his actions: in one scene, he pins her and puts his hand down her trousers. There is a motorway traffic accident.

Violence is moderate: a man is stabbed, including with hypodermic needles. There is brief bloody injury detail. Another man is thrown from a height: we see his bloody corpse in the aftermath.

There are brief sex scenes with no nudity. A woman takes a bath, with sight of natural breast nudity.

A couple grieve over their drowned child.
