THE UNHOLY is a horror film, from 1988, in which a priest is assigned to a New Orleans parish in order to battle the devil.

Violence

Strong bloody violence includes sight of a man's neck being ripped open, a scene in which a knife cuts across a woman’s breast, and a scene in which a power drill is used on a person. There are also bloody scenes in which a man vomits blood. Gory horror images include sight of a crucified man with his entrails hanging out, a scene in which a man eats flesh off of a human bone and sight of a woman biting another woman's tongue off.

There is sexualised breast nudity and infrequent strong language ('f**k').
