TWO FOR JOY is a drama in which a troubled family's problems come to a head during a stay in a seaside town.

Language

There is infrequent use of very strong language ('c**t') as well as strong language ('f**k'). There is a use of the discriminatory term 'fag'.

Threat

The lives of two children are threatened when they take a stolen boat to sea at night; one of the children is aggressive toward the other, burning him with a lighter.

It is implied from bruises on her skin that a girl is beaten by her mother's partner. Children drink alcohol, and take prescription pills stolen from one of their mothers. There are moderate bloody images. Depression is a theme of the film. There are scenes of killing and gutting fish.
