TRISHNA is drama, based on Thomas Hardy's novel, 'Tess of the D'Urbervilles', in which a woman begins a relationship with the British son of a wealthy Indian property tycoon.

Sex

A scene of strong sex, featuring thrusting detail and sight of a couple in various sexual positions, is followed by images from an illustrated Kama Sutra including very brief sight of an image of penetrative sex.

Violence

A person is repeatedly stabbed, resulting in a blood spurt and bloody aftermath detail. Scenes of sexual violence include one in which a man thrusts on top of a weeping woman. In another scene a man forces a woman to perform an erotic dance after removing her underwear; this scene contains no visible nudity.

Language

There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k').
