TOMKA AND HIS FRIENDS is a subtitled Albanian drama, set during World War II, about a group of boys trying to disrupt the invading German forces.

Language

There is use of the term 'bastard'.

Violence

A soldier slaps a man in the face and another kicks a child, off-screen. The child is later seen with blood on his face and a bloody wound on his elbow.

There is some full-frontal natural nudity, as the boys go swimming. A scene in which a dog is supposedly poisoned just shows the animal lying down and becoming still. In another scene, a horse is made to bolt after being stabbed with a chisel. The blow takes place off-screen and there is no indication of real animal cruelty.
