THE THREE MUSKETEERS is an action adventure adaptation of the Alexandre Dumas novel in which a young swordsman and three former musketeer legends unite to stop a villainous Cardinal and a beautiful double agent from seizing France's throne.

Violence

The film contains a number of scenes of moderate violence, within a period 'swashbuckling' context. Although the violence is generally undetailed and stylised, there are some stronger moments, including a couple of headbutts delivered during fight sequences. The second headbutt occurs during a slow motion sequence in which one of the musketeers attacks and defeats a villain with an elbow to the face, a number of sword thrusts, and a head-butt. In another sequence, a character saves himself from falling off a building by clutching the blade of a sword. There is some sight of blood on his hand and then brief injury detail as he plunges the sword into the villain's chest.

There is use of mild bad language ('shit', 'arse', 'bastard').
