THOONGAVANAM is a crime thriller in which a corrupt cop must return a bag of drugs to a violent gangster in order to get his son back.
- Violence
There are occasional scenes of moderate martial arts violence, featuring use of improvised weapons. There are also gunfights and a car crash. Although blood and injury detail is limited, there is occasional sight of blood on characters' faces and clothes in the aftermath of violence.
There is occasional sight of drugs in the form of blocks of white powder, which characters infrequently sample to confirm it is the drug in question. However, there are no scenes of actual drug use.
Mild bad language includes infrequent use of 'bullshit'.
Cuts information
The distributor chose to remove shots of strong violence and bloodshed (in this instance, a scene of suffocation, shootings, sight of blood spurts and sight of bloody injury detail) in order to achieve a 12A rating.
