TALES FROM EARTHSEA is an animated fantasy film, based on Ursula Le Guin’s Earthsea novels. It tells the story of Young Arren who is fighting an inner darkness with the assistance of magician Sparrowhawk.

There are fights involving swords and daggers, in one case resulting in a hand being severed. There are also fights between dragons, with limited sight of blood.

There are some moderate scary moments, with characters seen in danger.

The film also contains a brief reference to a fictional drug, which is said to be dangerous, and an undetailed reference to the mistreatment of a child by slave traders.
