SVENGALI is a British comedy drama about a Welshman who travels to London in order to manage a band he's convinced will be 'the next big thing'.

Language

The film contains over fifty uses of strong language ('f**k'), alongside uses of milder bad language, such as 'cock', 'bitch', 'twat' and 'wanker'. There is also a possible use of the very strong term, 'c**t', during a fight sequence, but the language is muffled and the speaker's face is not visible.

Other issues include some moderate sex references, with a number on a man's phone listed as 'Big Girl Escorts' and a man jokily suggesting to his girlfriend that he could 'pimp that ass out' in order to make some money. There is also a veiled reference to drug-taking, with a record company offering the protagonist 'something stronger' during a meeting. The offer is refused and no drug-taking is seen.
