STEP UP 4 - MIAMI HEAT (2012)

STEP UP - MIAMI HEAT is a dance feature about 'The Mob', a street dance group who are forced to fight to save their neighbourhood from a rich property developer. The cinema version was rated PG after cuts were made to remove an only partially bleeped use of strong language ('motherf**king') and a clear use of moderate bad language ('bitch'). This is the uncut version of the film and has been rated 12 for moderate language, mild sex references and violence.

This version of the film reinstates the aggressive use of 'bitch' that was cut from the cinema release and a partially bleeped use of 'motherf**king' that was also cut from the cinema release. There is milder bad language throughout, including uses of 'fricking', 'crap', 'butt', 'pissed', 'hell', 'asshole', 'bullshit', 'balls', 'screw you', 'son of a bitch' and 'God'.

There are also some mild sex references and innuendo, including someone being accused of "banging the boss's daughter". The dance routines themselves contain some mildly provocative moves. STEP UP - MIAMI HEAT also contains infrequent mild violence. The strongest moment occurs when a man defends his girlfriend's honour, punching another man in the face for insulting her.

No-one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. No-one younger than 12 may rent or buy a 12 rated video or DVD.
