STARCRAFT 2 - WINGS OF LIBERTY is a real time strategy game set in space featuring battles between human and alien civilisations. The game has been classified '15' for moderate bloody violence.

The game's battles are shown in overhead view. 'Kills' of some biological life forms (including humans) are represented with small blood spurts and explosions. Remnants of dead characters quickly disappear. Much of the violence involves mechanical combatants. Violence is also a feature of the cutscenes shown between levels to advance the narrative. These include stronger visual images with some detail of bullet impacts on creatures causing blood spurts and in one case a severed limb. At '15' BBFC Guidelines state that 'Violence may be strong but should not dwell on the infliction of pain and injury'. In the case of this game the violence is largely shown in a wide view with no dwelling on detail. The stronger moments of violence in cutscenes are infrequent and brief.

The game also includes some moderate language such as 'bitch', 'son of a bitch', 'bastard' and 'piss'. The game also includes a focus on smoking, with one of the central characters rarely seen without a cigarette. The smoking is not overtly glamorised and there is no obvious encouragement to smoke.
