SPRING IN A SMALL TOWN is a 1948 subtitled Chinese language film. Set in the aftermath of the second Sino-Japanese War, an unhappy married couple receive a visit from the husband's childhood friend.

Self harm

A female character breaks a small glass window in a door with her arm. This results in a small cut to the back of her hand.

There is a passing reference to suicide when a female character muses to herself, "He's thinking to himself that maybe I'll commit suicide..." In another scene a doctor appears to substitute the contents of a small bottle of sleeping tablets with vitamin pills.
