SON OF A GUN is an Australian thriller about a young offender who struggles to escape from a life of crime when he becomes indebted to a violent and treacherous criminal.

Language

Infrequent use of very strong language ('c**t'), between the male inmates of a prison, as well as frequent use of strong language ('f**k'), including sexual and aggressive uses.

Violence

There is strong violence during gun battles and occasional fist fights, as well as a sequence in which a woman is briefly beaten and choked by a man. Little detail is seen during these sequences, but there is sight of bloody injury detail in the aftermath of violence, including after a suicide attempt in which a character has cut their throat.

Sex

There are infrequent sex scenes, with brief sight of breast and buttock nudity.

Drugs

There are infrequent scenes featuring drug use, including a dealer taking Ecstasy and offering it to the protagonist, and sight of a man snorting cocaine at a party.
