Note: The following text may contain spoilers

THE SNOW QUEEN is an animated feature, based on the well known fairy tale, in which the Snow Queen has created a word of eternal winter and kidnapped a boy named Kai; only Kai's sister, Gerda, has the power to stop her.

Threat

Several sequences of threat include chases across snowy landscapes, with the focus on excitement rather than on characters being scared. When the characters are threatened, it is resolved quickly and unlikely to cause undue distress to younger viewers.

There is some fantastical violence when the heroes have to defeat creatures made of ice, but the creatures easily shatter and no one gets hurt. There is also some very mild bad language, for example, 'dammit'.
