SLENDER MAN is a US horror film in which a group of teenage girls are haunted by an evil supernatural entity.

Threat

Frightened teenagers are terrorised by a tall, spindly figure with a featureless face, creating scenes of strong sustained threat with occasional 'jump scare' moments.

Disturbing images

Strong horror images include sight of spiky objects piercing a girl's swollen belly from within and sight of distorted faces. In another scene the face of a dead teenager starts to twitch and spasm unnaturally.

There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k'). Infrequent moderate sex references include a scene in which a group of teenagers watch pornography; no sexual activity appears on screen. There is a brief scene of attempted suicide without graphic detail. Other issues include brief moderate gore when a student dissects an animal eyeball during a science class.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
