SILENT RUNNING is a science fiction film with an ecological theme. A botanist on a distant space freighter rebels when he is told to destroy the last remaining forests, protected in geodesic domes on the ship.
Several uses of 'crap', all referring to synthetic food.
A fight shows two men rolling around on the floor, then one of them pinning the other down with a shovel handle held down across his neck, quickly killing him. There is also some bloody injury, once when a man trips and accidentally cuts his hand, and again after the fight when the surviving man has hurt his knee and blood has soaked through his trouser leg. The actual injury is not shown clearly, and in both cases we see the injuries being treated and cared for.
There are also passing references to "suicide" and to a character being "celibate".
