SHERLOCK HOLMES - A GAME OF SHADOWS is a drama based on the famous fictional detective's clash with arch criminal Professor Moriarty.

Violence

There are sequences of moderate violence throughout, with some early hand to hand clashes as characters are attacked. Other sequences include a running battle on a train and an escape from a munitions yard with Great War style artillery landing around the fleeing heroes.

There are oblique references to drugs. Holmes is seen smoking a thin pipe and an acquaintance refers to him living off a diet that includes '...cocoa leaves'.

There is some implied nudity as a man is shown wandering around his house naked, with furniture strategically placed to block sight of his genitals.
