SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD is a fantastical action comedy about a young man who falls for a girl, but must defeat her ex-partners in a series of battles in order to be with her.

Violence

Moderate violence occurs in a series of stylised and fantastical fights utilising video game graphics and conventions, such as defeated opponents turning into piles of coins. Characters fight with oversized weapons, martial arts skills and swords, and are thrown through walls without injury. Fights, including stabbings, are largely bloodless.

Sex

Occasional moderate sex references include a man questioning his friend why he didn't "bang" a girl, and a woman saying that she was "bi-curious" and experimented with a lesbian relationship.

Language

There is occasional use of bleeped and obscured use of strong language ('f**k'), although in some instances it is not fully obscured. Moderate bad language used includes 'bitch' and 'slut', while mild bad language also occurs ('ass', 'asshole', 'jerk', 'shit', 'screw' and 'douche').

In one scene, a character compares his feelings for a girl to being like he is on drugs.
