RANGOON is a Hindi language war drama, set in 1944, about an Indian actress who is sent to the India-Burma border to entertain troops.
Battle violence includes explosions and undetailed shootings. Other violence includes characters being punched down, with brief injury detail.
A character is shown smoking an opium pipe, and there are several verbal references to opium smoking.
There is infrequent use of strong language ('bakchod'), as well as milder terms including 'wanker', 'dick', 'shit', 'hell', 'bloody', 'God' and 'goddammit'.
Other issues include mild sex references.
Company chose to remove shots of drug misuse and strong bloody violence in order to obtain a 12A classification. Cuts made in accordance with BBFC Guidelines and policy. An uncut 15 was available.
