RAMBO is the fourth film in the series that started with FIRST BLOOD. It sees the character of Vietnam veteran, John Rambo, return to rescue a group of missionaries who have been kidnapped by Burmese soldiers.
- Violence
There is very strong bloody violence. There is a strong focus on the infliction of injuries: Rambo tears open a man's throat with his bare hands and disembowels another man with a knife. Battle scenes show people being hit by bombs, arrows and machine gun fire, resulting in blood sprays, bullet wounds and detached limbs. The bloodiest scenes, at the climax of the film carry a sense of revenge. There are also scenes of the Burmese military using violence against civilians, including women and children, with strong bloody detail.
There is also one use of very strong language (‘c**t’) and frequent strong language (‘f**k’). There is also some implied but not detailed sexual violence.
