THE PRESIDENT is a Georgian satire about a dictator who is ousted by a violent revolution and goes on the run with his young grandson.

Language

Several uses of strong language ('f**k') as well as milder terms including 'bitch', 'whore' and 'bastard'.

Threat

Strong threat as various characters are captured by people who plan to kill them, with people having guns pointed at them, nooses put around their necks, an axe held up ready to cut a man's head off, and a man being dragged towards a fire to be burned alive.

Violence

Several scenes of strong violence, as a number of people are shot, and a man holds a pitch fork under his chin, with the implication that he kills himself by stabbing it into his neck, although this is not seen.

There are references to sexual violence, including a scene in which it is suggested a woman has been raped, and a scene in which a prostitute has blood running down her legs and explains that this is because a soldier refused to pay and "put his gun between my legs".

There is also sexualised nudity in pin-up pictures of topless women on the wall of a brothel.
