POWDER ROOM is a comedy set in a nightclub, in which a woman meets up with an old friend, while also trying not to draw attention to her current friends who she fears will embarrass her. It is rated 15 for very strong language, strong sex references and hard drug use.

There are two uses of very strong language ('c**t'). The first use occurs as part of friendly banter between two women, and is taken with good humour. In the second case, the language is used with anger during an argument between women but is only just audible due to the general noise of the club. The film also contains multiple uses of strong language ('f**k').

Strong sex references include dialogue about masturbation, sex and ejaculation. In two scenes, female characters discuss such sexual activities in the context of telephone sex, but on both occasions the emphasis is on the humour of the situation rather than on titillation. In the nightclub toilets there is occasional sight of crudely drawn genitalia.

Hard drug use includes sight of young women taking MDMA and cocaine. However, the drug taking leads to clear side effects, such as strange behaviour and bleeding from the nose, and the film as a whole does not glamorise drug taking.

The film also contains occasional scenes of smoking.

No-one younger than 15 may see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video or DVD.
