POMPEII [2D]

POMPEII is a drama set around the destruction of Pompeii following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. It is rated 12A for moderate violence and threat.

There are scenes of fighting involving the use of swords and other weapons, although there is little sight of bloodshed. There are also heavy punches and kicks during hand to hand fighting, sometimes accompanied by loud sound effects. There is a brief scene in which a man is whipped, with limited sight of blood and injury.

There are scenes of sustained threat as buildings collapse and people are killed when the volcano erupts, including people falling and seen on fire. There is little focus on injury in these big action sequences.

POMPEII also includes infrequent use of moderate and mild bad language. including 'bitch', 'bastard' and 'bloody'. There is also a scene in which a woman examines a slave and makes suggestive remarks about his physique.

No-one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. No-one younger than 12 may rent or buy a 12 rated video or DVD.
