POKÉMON THE MOVIE: I CHOOSE YOU! is a Japanese animation in which a 10-year-old boy sets out on a quest to become a Pokémon master.

Violence

Various colourful creatures do battle, using both physical attacks and supernatural powers that sometimes endanger human characters.

Threat

Scenes of mild threat include characters being menaced by a flock of angry birds and attacked by an army of sinister 'possessed' creatures. A central character appears to perish during the climactic battle, but is promptly revived.

There is a scene of in which a character becomes upset as he recalls the death of a family pet.
