PLANES: FIRE & RESCUE is an animation sequel in which a racing plane is forced to retire from competition, joining a team of other aircraft and rescue vehicles who fight forest fires.

Threat

The cartoon characters launch various rescue missions, in which they face danger and are threatened by large forest fires. The intensity of these scenes is not unduly sustained and is broken up comic moments. Reassuring outcomes are quickly established and the film emphasises qualities of bravery, resourcefulness and teamwork.

The film also contains some very mild innuendo and comic rude humour, such as a cartoon truck character inviting his friends to check out his rear end, and another cartoon vehicle demonstrating its siren, which makes a noise that sounds like the passing of wind.
