THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES is US drama about a motorcycle stunt rider and an ambitious young cop and how their lives become linked with one another. It is rated 15 for strong language, violence and drug use.

There are over 100 uses of strong language ('f**k'), many of which are aggressive. There is also some moderate and mild bad language, including uses of 'dick', 'bitch' and 'shit'.

In one scene a man is punched repeatedly and a lot of blood is shown on his face. There is also a scene depicting a shooting, which includes sight of bloody bullet impacts and a man dying in a large pool of blood. Although these scenes of violence do not dwell on detail of injuries, they do contain an emphasis on blood.

THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES also contains a scene in which young people are shown taking pills at a party. Whilst they appear to have fun for a while, it quite quickly turns into a nightmare for one young man. The film as a whole does not promote or encourage drug use.

Additionally, the film contains some focus on weapons, some mild innuendo and implied sex.

No-one younger than 15 may see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video or DVD.
