THE PIANO is a New Zealand drama, set in the 1850s, in which a mute woman falls in love with a local worker after her husband sells her piano to him.

Sex

There are scenes of sex, with sight of thrusting detail, and breast and buttock nudity, as well as scenes of implied oral sex.

Nudity

There is sight of full frontal male and female nudity, which occurs within a sexual context.

A man pulls a woman to a ground, climbs on top of her and tries to kiss her whilst forcibly sticking his hand up her skirt.
