PERCEVAL is a 1978 French historical drama, based on Arthurian legend, in which a naive young man becomes a knight.

Violence

A man pins a woman down on a bed and forcibly kisses her several times. The woman is visibly distressed. Another man later accuses the woman of 'enjoying' it and speculates that the act went further than kissing.

A man throws a spear into another man's eye, resulting in minor bloody detail. A crucifixion sequence features a small amount of blood spray. The violence in these scenes is stylised and the blood effects are not realistic.

Nudity

A woman is forced to wear a tattered dress that partially exposes her breasts. Another scene contains partial male rear nudity.
