THE PASS is a British drama about a closeted gay professional footballer and a friend from his early playing days.

Language

There is infrequent use of very strong language ('c**t') and frequent use of strong language ('f**k'). Milder terms include 'prick', 'cock', 'pussy', 'dickhead' and 'wank'.

Sex

Strong sex references include discussion of sex tapes, scenes in which characters negotiate paid sex, and occasional crude sex references such as when a character tells an anecdote about his friend receiving oral sex from a prostitute. There is one scene of male buttock nudity, when two characters are seen spooning naked on a bed.

Drugs

Several scenes depict characters abusing prescription pain-killers.

There is infrequent use of discriminatory terms such as 'queer' and 'homo'. There is a scene in which a character 'blacks up' by putting chocolate spread on his face and adopting an accent. Such discriminatory terms and attitudes are not endorsed by the film as a whole.

There is also a scene of violence, when a character holds a man's head in a bowl of alcohol until another character intervenes.
