PARENTAL GUIDANCE

PARENTAL GUIDANCE is a family comedy about a couple who look after their three overprotected grandchildren when their daughter and her husband have to go out of town. It is rated U for mild rude humour and very mild language.

When one of the grandchildren is reintroduced to his grandfather, Artie, he decides to refer to him as 'Farty' instead. Occasionally his grandmother joins in with the joke. Later on Artie and his grandson are at a professional skateboarding event, where the young boy tells his grandfather that he needs to go to the toilet. The boy is then seen standing on a half-pipe skateboarding structure, urinating off the edge as a skateboarder does a stunt underneath. There is also scene in which Artie has to try and help his grandson go to the toilet. Artie sings a song to encourage him, which includes references to 'Come out Mr. Doody'. This causes confusion and amusement amongst the other men in the gents toilets who think Artie is singing to himself in the cubicle.

At one point, Artie and his middle grandchild are shown watching an instalment of the SAW horror film series. However, nothing horrific is shown other than the central 'Jigsaw' character riding a bicycle, seen on their television screen. Even this is enough to scare Artie and his Grandson and they scream and switch off the film. The scene is comic and there is no sight of actual horror in the film that they are watching.

The film contains uses of very mild bad language (eg 'heck', 'fart') and a scene in which the grandmother performs some innocent 'pole' exercises with her middle aged female friends in her own lounge.

U stands for Universal, which means that we think the film is suitable for audiences aged four or older.
